Outreach

The Communications and Outreach Department has established an outreach program to take the village’s message of “Progress Through Thoughtful Planning” on the road. Partnering with various community organizations, Communications and Outreach staff have been conducting a series of in-person and virtual community chats to provide residents information and insights into new village initiatives and to answer commonly asked questions about village services.

Outreach Presentations

The Village of Schaumburg is offering the opportunity to partner with local service clubs, homeowners associations, places of worship, and social and cultural organizations who are interested in bringing one of our outreach presentations to their membership. Meetings can be conducted in person or via the Zoom video conferencing platform and can be customized to fit the needs of the group’s audience.

Schaumburg Progress Live (SPL)

The Village of Schaumburg offers a live streaming video series, Schaumburg Progress Live (SPL), on the village’s Facebook page to help keep residents informed on the latest news and happenings around town.

The reoccurring program, which is hosted by the village’s Communications and Outreach Director Allison Albrecht, covers trending topics of interest to the community and features guest experts from the village.

SPL viewers have the opportunity to interact with the show live and have their questions answered by submitting comments and questions in real time during the Facebook Live broadcast. Communications and Outreach staff will also share valuable links to content discussed during the program in the comments section of the broadcast.
