This card is available for seniors or for people with a disability and allows qualifying riders to ride Metra, Pace buses, and CTA buses and trains at a reduced rate. Customers can apply online at <a href=\"https:\/\/fares.rtachicago.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RTA Fare Programs Online<\/a> or in-person at Schaumburg&#8217;s Village Hall, one of the region&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtachicago.org\/index.php\/rider-resources\/rta-fare-programs\/ride-free-reduced-fare-assistance-sites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RTA&#8217;s processing centers<\/a>. In-person registration is currently by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Transportation Department at 847.923.3861.<\/p>\n<h5>Senior and Disabled Taxi Program<\/h5>\n<p>The Village of Schaumburg offers discount coupons for taxi service to qualifying seniors (65 years of age or older) or disabled residents of Schaumburg who are enrolled in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.illinois.gov\/aging\/BenefitsAccess\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Illinois Department of Aging &#8211; Benefit Access Program<\/a>. For more information click here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.villageofschaumburg.com\/government\/transportation\/senior-disabled-transportation\/senior-disabled-taxi-discount\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Senior and Disabled Taxi Program<\/a><br \/>\nNote: Area residents can sign up for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.illinois.gov\/aging\/BenefitsAccess\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Illinois Department of Aging &#8211; Benefit Access Program<\/a> by contacting their local Township (see below).<\/p>\n<h5>Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART) Door to Door Bus Service<\/h5>\n<p>The DART service is a door to door bus service with a discount for seniors that will take you anywhere within the Village of Schaumburg. For more information click here: <a href=\"http:\/\/174.141.233.253\/~villageofschaumb\/government\/transportation\/dial-a-ride-transportation-dart\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Dial-A-Ride Transportation<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title-one\">RTA Mobility Management<\/h2>\n<p>The RTA&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rtachicago.org\/index.php\/rider-resources\/accessible-transit\/travel-training.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mobility Management Program<\/a> helps customers with disabilities and older adults access ADA-accessible transit in the RTA region. The Mobility Management Program has recently released a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rtachicago.org\/index.php\/rider-resources\/accessible-transit\/1428\/videos-rta-mobility-management-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series of videos<\/a> that provide travel tips for accessing Pace, CTA, and Metra. The videos are available in both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RO4uQgSnymo&amp;list=PLAAJkisMKgytnddI-cDpMKqa3lB4iKsaz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=i2i54OgLzUY&amp;list=PLAAJkisMKgysCsgVmHRtqSZak8s6Qngjw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Topics Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-green mb-3\">\n<li>Overview of Accessible Transit Options<\/li>\n<li>How to Decide Which Transit Options are Right for You<\/li>\n<li>How to Use Accessibility Features<\/li>\n<li>Trip Planning on Metra, Pace, and CTA Fixed Route Transportation<\/li>\n<li>What to Expect While Riding Buses &amp; Trains<\/li>\n<li>Community Safety &amp; Problem Solving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"title-one\">Township Senior Services<\/h2>\n<h5>Schaumburg Township Senior Services<\/h5>\n<p>For Schaumburg residents living south of Algonquin Road, east of Barrington Road, north of Devon Avenue, and east of IL-53 and can be reached at 847-884-0030.<\/p>\n<p>The Township also administers the TRIP program, a Schaumburg Township state-funded pilot program which provides transportation across township lines for medical reasons for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This inter-township transportation will cover much of Northwest Cook County.<\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hanover-township.org\/departments\/aging-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hanover Township Senior Services<\/a><\/h5>\n<p>For Schaumburg residents living west of Barrington Road.
