The Barn Senior Program – Celebrating Life!

The Barn serves as a second home for many of the area’s seniors as well as friends with disabilities. The Village of Schaumburg program provides food, fun and fellowship as well as an opportunity for seniors to help their fellow seniors and community. We welcome volunteers to help assist with our activities and programs. Please check availability prior to applying.

Committed to good nutrition for the mind, body and soul, the Barn offers nutritious, affordable meals (suggested donation $3.25-$5), fellowship through numerous special events and educational programs enlightening seniors on current topics.

Come and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, delicious & nutritious food and all that the Barn has to offer. Seniors and residents with disabilities from the Village of Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg Township, and all other communities are welcome.

Senior Nutrition Program Update

The Village of Schaumburg partners with the Community Nutrition Network for this M-F program which serves a daily hot lunch to seniors and friends with disabilities.

Options:

  • Daily “to go” hot meals available for pick up
  • Mondays – 5 pack frozen meals available for pick up

Special Saturday Program

This program is run with the assistance and generosity of the Rotary Club Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates. Please call the Barn at (847) 524-7496 for more information and to register (required).

Older Adult Market

The Older Adult Market program provides free food including fresh produce for older adults in our community. No registration needed. Complete this proxy form, which is intended for an older adult, sixty years and older, who is physically unable to pick up the food on their own. The representative should bring the completed form to the Older Adult Market.
