Township Ridership Initiative Pilot (TRiP)

Medical Transportation Option

TRIP is a Schaumburg Township state-funded pilot program that provides transportation across township lines for medical reasons for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This inter-township transportation covers much of Northwest Cook County. Additional information can be found in the brochures below. PACE is the transit carrier and provides a lift-equipped van or small bus.

This program is operated by Schaumburg Township, not the Village of Schaumburg.

Cost to use the service

The cost of the service is $5 each way as a minimum, $10 each way as a maximum. For more information, visit Schaumburg Township Transportation.

Schaumburg Township transportation services are provided for Seniors (age 55 and over) and Permanently Disabled Persons (age 18 and over) who reside in one of the following townships:

  • Barrington
  • Elk Grove
  • Hanover
  • Maine
  • Palatine
  • Schaumburg
  • Wheeling
