The Village of Schaumburg’s public water supply is one of the highest rated water systems with the highest rated water quality in the country.

The Village of Schaumburg is tributary to four different watersheds. Those watersheds are: West Branch Salt Creek, Poplar Creek.

The Village of Schaumburg maintains the sewer system by providing support to residents and businesses.

Water Quality

The Village of Schaumburg’s public water supply is one of the highest rated water systems with the highest rated water quality in the country. Since 1980, Schaumburg has invested over $30,000,000 in water system improvements.

These improvements include the construction of the water pipeline from Chicago and pump station now operated by the Joint Action Water Agency (JAWA), additional reservoirs and pump stations to receive and pump Lake Michigan water, large transmission water mains through out the village, and an emergency water connection with the DuPage Water Commission (DWC) .
