Isaac Griffith Jr.
Lovingly memorialized by Beverly Ortiz on March 31, 2016
Isaac Griffith Jr. of Maitland, West Virginia, born on
April 21, 1940 went home to be with the Lord on
March 25, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53
years Helen Thelma Griffith, his children Nina, Virginia, Ralph, Thomas and Belinda, 1 brother David, 4 sisters Shirley, Ora, Bonita and Ruth, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other loved ones too numerous to name! Isaac graduated from Kimball High School and was a graduate of the Ohio State University. He worked as a senior engineer for several companies including Lockhead Martin and Cubic Corporation. He enjoyed computers and other electronic devices. He stayed on the computer and was known to text, Facebook and call his friends and family from sunup to sundown.
He loved to help other people and to impart and share his wonderful wisdom and encouragement with everyone. The pastors often used his wisdom in their sermons! He was an adopted father and grandfather to many. He was also a faithful member of Mens Fellowship. He was a pillar of his church and community, absolutely loved by us all. He loved his beautiful songbird, his wife and he loved to dance! He also made very clear to anyone that listened how much he loved his pastor, his children and his friends...often reminiscing and letting us all in on precious memories to be treasured forever more. We will miss you Papa❤️...

Zhanara Shukayeva
Lovingly memorialized by LKYSPP NU GSPP on March 27, 2016
Zhanara embodied all the qualities we want to see in our GSPP students. She was hardworking, high-minded, deeply concerned about social justice, and cared very much for the welfare of her country and fellow Kazakhs. She was also a natural leader and could always be counted on to go the extra mile and to lend a helping hand to her classmates.
All of us at the LKY School who knew Zhanara are grieving too and our thoughts are with her loved ones, friends and colleagues.
