Michael was born May 13th, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1957, earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the UCLA School of Engineering in 1961, and attended the Harvard Senior Management Program in 1966. Michael had an intricate career as a consultant engineer which stretched across the globe. He enjoyed listening to good music, cooking exceptional food, and giving back to the community. He was an avid reader who spent most of his time learning and tinkering with how to revolutionize the world.
Michael is survived by his three daughters, Janine Vanhoye, Annaliese Vanhoye, and Celine Vanhoye; sister Alice Wilmot (Phillip), sister Terri Walsh (Lou), brother Gary (Maria). Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Auguste Vanhoye Jr., and brother Gene Vanhoye.

Debra Kay Mumford, age 60 passed away 7/26/16 following multiple heath complications. The daughter of Robert and Betty (Stewart) Kidd, and raised, following the death of both parents, by Sister, Lila and her husband Fred Dillenbeck. Debra graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1974. Married to Robert D. Westphal in 1979, Debra raised three daughters: Sheila Westphal Hinch, of Decatur, MI, Dalinda Sue Westphal Kidd of Kalamazoo, MI and Lynne Westphal Cox of Vandalia MI. In July of 1990, she remarried to George Cubbage, maintaining a lifelong friendship with former Spouse, Robert. Debra, George and Robert welcomed 11 grandchildren into their family: Kristen, Jason, Zachary and Brandon Howard, Chelsea Harjala. Tim (Ashley) Saye, Amber and Nicole Saye, Lila (Cox, Cole) Slaski, Christopher Cox and Corrine Westphal. Debra also leaves behind beloved family: Brother Jim(Norma) Kidd, Brother-In-Law Fred Dillenbeck, Sister-In-Law Donna (Gokey) Kidd as well as nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Kidd) Boehme, Bill and Brad Kidd, Curt Dillenbeck, Tonda Mulligan, Betty Terry, Robin Kidd, Lindsey and Landry Boysen and Rebecca Dillenbeck. Debra is preceded in death by husband, Chuck Mumford, former spouse, Robert Westphal, beloved siblings: Thomas Kidd and Lila (Kidd) Dillenbeck, niece and nephew Marlys and Chris Boysen, son-in-law Darrell R. Cox and granddaughter Corrine Westphal.
Debra was a creative homemaker who enjoyed baking and crocheting. Her daughters enjoyed hand made clothing for their dolls, and hats and mittens over the years. She loved the holidays, being known for baking great quantities of cookies and treats which she shared with family, friends and co-workers. She never missed an opportunity to send treats and hand made goodies with her children for school events over the years. Debra enjoyed country music, attending many performances when former spouse, George played in a country band. Debra greatly enjoyed spending holidays with her Kidd/Dillenbeck family over the years and hosted many in her own home as grandchildren began to arrive and her own family grew. Beloved by many, Debra will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
Memorial service with dinner to follow will be held at the Decatur VFW in Decatur, Michigan at 2PM on Saturday August 13th. Family is requesting that any donations be made to Newell Funeral home in Decatur, MI or to Sheila Hinch to assist with funeral expenses and final costs.
