Anna Maria Colnar

Lovingly memorialized by Emma Wieckowski on October 7, 2015

Anna Maria Colnar, age 59, embarked on her final adventure on October 7, 2015 at Hospice in Perrysburg, Ohio after battling with Scleroderma and Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Anna was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to LeRoy and Julia (Dickinson) Colnar and was the second of five girls. Anna possessed a wildly creative and adventurous spirit. She shared her love of life wherever she went and accomplished so much in the short time she had with us. Her crowning achievement was being the owner of the Full Moon Bakery in the early years of the Erie Street Market. She created culinary masterpieces with just her hands and a convection oven.
Besides her red cowgirl and chef's hats, Anna wore the hats of Nana, Mom, daughter, sister, friend and sponsor. Anna was 27 years sober and proud of the life her sobriety helped her build for herself and her children. It was a life full of adventures, a beautiful home and a refuge for helpless rescue animals.
Anna is passing on a legacy of compassion to the world. She is preceded in death by her father and survived by her beloved granddaughter, two children, mother, four sisters and their families as well as a community of friends whose size is a testament to Anna's unfailing love and support.
