The Story

Mary Liechtenstein Adams was born March 28, 1924 in Harrisburg, Texas. She departed for Heaven on April 12, 2017 at the age of 93.
Mary was preceded in death by her love of 55 years, Glenn Max Adams, Sr and her precious son, Glen Max Adams, Jr. Her parents, William and Beatrice Lichenstein, her twin sister, Margaret, and sisters, Dorothy and Alice May.
She is survived by her son, James Christian Adams, grandson, Kevin Adams and wife Cristina, and granddaughter, Kimberly and Husband Ryan Kirk. Two great-grandsons, Alexander Adams and Ryder Kirk and one great grand-daughter, Ava Marie Adams.
She will also be tremendously missed by a HUGE number of friends, a loving church family and MANY who consider themselves her "adopted" children.
Max and Mary Adams were members of Lindale Church for 60+ years. Their lives were dedicated to serving God and their church…..and they did so with passion and excellence.
Mary was a valued and highly respected employee of Dow Chemical for 30 years.
As her health began to fail and her ability to be mobile was limited, she spent hours every day calling those who she felt needed encouragement, prayer and a little "Mary Love". She was amazing!
Proverbs 31 describes our Mary beautifully. She was a treasured jewel. She will be terribly missed.
There will be a visitation time for family and friends on Tuesday, April 18, from 9:00AM to 10:30. Following the visitation, will be a Celebration Memorial Service at 10:30 AM, held at Lindale Church, 503 Reid St. Houston, Tx.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Mary Adams Memorial fund would be appreciated. These gifts will go towards helping the family with the funeral expenses. Donations can be made through Lindale Church's website….lindalechurch.org…..on the "Giving" page (please note: Mary Memorial Fund). Or, checks can be mailed to Lindale Church P. O. Box 30130 Houston, Tx 77249. For additional info: 713 6954582.
