The Story
Our mother, Marsha, was an affectionate, compassionate and vibrant woman who carried a great strength in her heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor that endeared her to everyone she came in contact with. She had a warm embrace that made everyone around her feel special. And we are most proud about the way she always reached out to help others and offered up whatever she could to ease their burden - opening her arms to anyone who needed it. She was so special because she had a way of making strangers feel like family, and family feel like they could conquer the world.
Mom was a positive influence and always pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves. She had a deep-rooted belief that her children would achieve great success in life – the greatest achievement being true happiness. She encouraged us to embrace our unique individuality, while instilling the importance of being a family – and she never missed the chance to tell us just how much she loved us with either a touch or a word.
Mom’s hugs were legendary and were usually delivered at the exact moment that her kids needed it. Whether she was in the middle of an important phone call, or running to get out the door, she always took the time to stop to place a warm hand on our back, or grasp our hand in hers.
Growing up, mom never missed a chance to show her support to her children, usually attending multiple sporting or music events in a week. Whether rich or poor, mom’s love never made us feel like we were missing out on life. Mom led by example and worked hard at her job every day, and always soldiered on, even when times were tough.
As an adult, mom became our friend, advisor and confidante. Her greatest quality was to encourage us to make the best of everything and to face problems head on. To this day, we are proud to say that we follow in mom's footsteps in so many ways. Though she is gone, we will take with us all of the lessons and love that she has shared with us through all of the years that we were lucky enough to spend with her.
Mom has always been our support, strength and comfort when times have been tough. Her passing from this life leaves a massive hole in our hearts, but we will draw strength from the things she taught us and will lean on the family she created.
It is an honor to share our precious memories of our mother with you and we encourage you to share a few with us in return. These memories can be created in the memories tab.
Mom, we love you. You will forever live in our hearts and our spirit.
