The Story

We are utterly devastated by the loss of our Mum, Lady Veronica J. Edem, but we are grateful to God that whilst on earth, she lived an absolutely fantastic, exciting and fulfilling life.

As a teacher, Vice Principal, philanthropist and community leader, Mum's friendly, loving and strong caring character endeared everyone to her. To say that Mum was one of a kind would be an undeniable understatement. The generosity, humour and wisdom she shared are only a few examples of the incredible person she was.

Mum was a devout and charismatic Christian who loved singing. One of her best songs is Above All as done by Women of Faith. She achieved one of the most important goals in her life when she went on pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Whilst there, she walked along the paths that Jesus walked, sailed on the River Jordan, and amongst other faith enriching experiences, visited the tomb where Jesus was buried and resurrected.

Mum, there has not been and there will never be anyone like you. We shall forever cherish the memories of our times with you. We love you and miss you dearly. So, until we meet again at resurrection, may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen!
