The Story
Kathleen (Kathy) was a tenacious woman with a passion for dance. She spent
many years practicing, and performing for various events, such as shows for
the U.S troops. Kathy credits her father for her dance career, a man who she
described as a wonderful performer, and dancer.
Despite a promising dance career, Kathy decided to follow in the footsteps of
her mother, and enter the medical field. She spent over 40 years caring for
others with an amazing bedside manner. Kathy viewed every patient as a
human, not as a diagnosis, and treated everyone the way she would have
liked to be treated.
The absolute best job that Kathy ever had was that of a mother. She sacrificed
everything, to give her children the best possible life. The song lyrics “She’s
an everlasting shoulder, She’s the leaning post of life” describe her perfectly.
Kathy’s favorite pastimes were gardening all year round, cooking from scratch,
especially for large family gatherings, decorating to the extreme for every holiday,
watching every dancing show, writing, and becoming a published author, just for fun.
Kathy also had a great sense of humor, and loved to pick on the family in the
funniest ways. At the bottom of her will she states, “Just keep a good laugh going
from time to time, if not daily. Enjoy life, don’t sit back and let it pass you by with
work or stress”.
Kathy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Hattie Wells, also
her parents, Irene (Wells) and Irving Brewer. She will deeply missed by her
children Kimberly (Joseph), Kristin, and Benjamin, as well as her eight grandchildren,
Jamie, Tristan, Mackenzie, Colton, Jonas, Peyton, Ceres, and Fallon.
Kathy will also be dearly missed by her sister Maureen (William) Goede, Elaine Cruz,
and brother Michael (Tammy) Brewer.
Kathy’s infallible love, and mesmerizing spirit will be greatly missed by all
who knew her best.
