The Story

FELIPA URQUIZO (-SOSA).....sweet and funny mom, 92 years young.
Said farewell in her loving home in North Las Vegas.
When her beautiful heart finally gave in on a Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

Her life started as the beginning of an adventure in 1923.....when she was given different birth dates. We had fun celebrating twice a year.
She always celebrated May 26 for her birthday, but official documents had conflicting dates of
September 8, 1923. Then when she officially became a proud American Citizen, she was suddenly given September 18 as her official birthday. This only gave us reason to celebrate every single one for Princess mom! She's proudly voted as an intelligent Democrat since becoming an American, and hopes people don't vote for bigotry support.
She was born in a little farm outside of a little town of Santo Niño, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Father was Pascuol Urquizo and Mother was Juanita Sosa-Calamaco.
She had an older brother Juan, sisters Santos and Adela. She was always surrounded and loved by friends.
Her first husband in Mexico, gave her a little boy, that died at the age of 1 year, and a little girl, Blanca Estella, who died at the age of 3. Thankfully she got away from a bad life to create a better life here in the U.S. working for wonderful people that help her create a better life for herself in her mid 20's. She later met the love of her life Agustin Barcena, a Spanish/Portuguese descendent (rest his soul), who gave her two children, a son and later a daughter, Beatrice Urquizo (aka Sydnie Bette Barcenas). Both children grew to serve the U.S by joining the military, Sydnie being a retired Army Veteran, therefore making her a proud military mother. Felipa's university educational training was to be the best mother she could be. She got the mother of the year award many times.
Until her arm got severely injured, she was a hard working "domestic artist". She concentrated her motherly energy into raising her children and later in helping raise her grandkids
She is survived by her grandchildren Nicholas James Urquizo and Mariangela Victoria Urquizo. She dearly loved them.
Though she's live in El Paso, Texas, where her children were born, she then moved to San Francisco, California to ensure them a better and intelligent upbringing. Cities she's lived in consist of El Paso, Texas to San Francisco, California, then followed her son to Sacramento, California; when her daughter saved her by moving her to Augsburg, Germany with her. She never left the care of her daughter or sometimes her side again. She ended back to El Paso, Texas, then to Sacramento, California where her daughter bought her a lovely condo. Missing her daughter, she eventually moved to Lacey, Washington to live closer to her daughter, where they finally moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Due to her kids extensive and various military service, she tagged along for the ride with each of them when she could. She spent a short period of time in Guam with her son and grandkids Nicholas and Mariangela. But most of her "Military service" time was spent with her traveling with her devoted daughter all over the U.S., as well as Europe. She visited countries and cities in Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, England, and even walked through the German Brandenburg Gate - from West Berlin to East Berlin and back. She was an adventurer. The best part of all of her travels, was when she took a spontaneous trip with her daughter through the different towns of Italy, staying in Venice, then Florence, and eventually Rome. She was ecstatic to attend a live mass with Pope John Paul II inside the Vatican City, and be bless by him. She also enjoyed the simple life of crocheting and knitting, so has a wonderful collection of special items. Her final years were spent with her loving daughter, enjoying theatre, dance, and music in the various locations in Las Vegas. She has received the gift of seeing her favorite singer Andrea Bocelli in a live closeup concert, where she loved singing along to most of his songs. Her final days were just spent being loved by her one and only child and devoted daughter Sydnie Bette, who misses her dearly.

Cuando su hermoso corazón finalmente cedió un martes, 16 de de febrero de 2016.

Su vida comenzó como el comienzo de una aventura en 1923 ..... cuando le dieron diferentes fechas de nacimiento.
Siempre se celebra 26 de mayo para su cumpleaños, pero los documentos oficiales tenido en conflicto de fechas
8 de septiembre de 1923. Luego, cuando oficialmente se convirtió en un orgulloso ciudadano estadounidense, se le dio de repente 18 de septiembre como su cumpleaños oficial. Esto sólo nos dio motivos para celebrar cada uno único de la princesa madre! Ella ha votado con orgullo como un demócrata inteligente desde entonces, y espera que la gente no vota por partidarios intolerancia.
Ella nació en una pequeña granja en las afueras de una pequeña ciudad de Santo Niño, Chihuahua, México.
