Obituary lovingly written by Casey's sister, Samantha Dempsey
Casey Roger Dempsey, 36 of San Francisco California passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 28, 2016, following a battle with cancer.
Casey was born in Columbia, Mo on April 9, 1980 to Keith Dempsey and Janice Jones (Dempsey) Wasinger.
Casey grew up in Columbia, where he had interests and hobbies, which included bowling, bull riding/fighting, motorsports and anything that involved the outdoors. He also loved to travel and his travels landed him in San Francisco where he made his home. He was blessed to have met some amazing people on his journey. Not just friends, but family. Casey loved to repair and rebuild motorcycles. You could always find him on his bike. Casey had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone he met on his journey. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his father, Keith W. Dempsey (Irene), mother, Janice Wasinger (Mike), his sister, Samantha Dempsey as well as numerous foster brothers/sisters and several family in the San Francisco area. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Hallie Dempsey and his maternal grandparents, Jack and Rosa Jones.
A fund had been established to help the family with final expenses and to honor him by providing donations to aid the homeless in San Francisco, which was a cause very dear to Casey.

Casey was blessed with great friends who became family! His first motorcycle was given to him by Jimmy. It was inoperable, but not for long! Casey worked his magic and had it running great in no time. His first Harley was given to him by Patrick. That was an extraordinary gift and Casey was ecstatic to be a Harley rider! Mikey gave Casey a home, which was a great relief to me! In December 2015, Casey posted his own thank you on FaceBook to these wonderful people, so I want to honor him by posting that here: “I can't even begin to express my gratitude for good friends and family, the people I've found out here on the west coast have been my saving grace....between Mikey for giving me a roof to sleep under and Jimmy for hooking me up with Frisco bob last year and Patrick for all the unbelievable things he's done for me...there's no way I deserve of all of this but just know that I do not take any of you for granted...and I've always got your back. No questions asked. You guys are the best friends...I'm thankful that our paths have crossed and look forward to blazing new ones with you guys!"
