Service Details
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th with prayer at 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Plummer, Idaho at 1173 E St, Plummer, ID 83851, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Blanche's life.
The Story
Blanche Rhea Chapman-Schug (Malouf), 78, entered eternal rest peacefully Friday evening on October 2nd, 2015 at 8:45 p.m. in Tensed, Idaho with her loving husband, Charles Schug, at her side. She was born to Lewis and Mary Malouf in Cheyenne, Wyoming on June 10th, 1937. She graduated from East Bakersfield High School on June 9th, 1955, and graduated with a BS from St. Mary’s College in 1959, and later an MEd from Oregon State University in 1966).
Blanche was an accomplished high school business teacher, and filled many other roles including being a loving wife and mother, and holds an influential place in many people's hearts and lives, students and non-students alike. Many of her students have described her as their favorite teacher who gave them a sense of direction that helped shape their lives. She retired to Tensed, ID with her husband Charles Schug after 37 years of teaching. She will always be remembered for the constant thoughtfulness, encouragement and love she shared towards others.
Blanche is preceded in death by her parents Lewis Neil Malouf, Mary Ribe Malouf (Walker).
Blanche is survived by her husband, Charles Schug, his children: Daniel Schug (Candace Schug), Andrew Schug (Lonya Schug), Matthew Schug (Monica Schug), Theresa Quimby (Jeff Quimby), Martha Judson (Randy Judson), Paula Plummer (Tim Plummer), Maria Spring (Bob Spring), Patty Schug; her daughter Chris Reichen, 25 AWESOME grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her many grateful students.
