The Story

A thousand-watt smile, an even bigger heart; a lover of all living things, a daughter, sister and friend. Kinsey was a bright light that touched so many around the globe during the far too short time that she graced this earth.

Kinsey Maebori Grimstad was born in Seattle, WA on May 29, 1987 to Gary & Marcia Grimstad - sharing the same birthday as her older sister, Alaina. Kinsey grew up on Mercer Island & was a proud graduate of the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

Kinsey's passion to connect with others & adventurous spirit led her to live in San Francisco, CA, Dublin, Ireland, and New York, NY. She filled her passport pages to bursting, with stamps from Norway, Japan, Ireland, France, the UK, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand (to name a few).

Kinsey loved deeply and felt deeply, always uniquely and unapologetically herself. Kinsey found peace in yoga and meditation, practicing the connection of body and mind.

The love that Kinsey felt for her family and friends was pure and she rarely missed an opportunity to let those close to her know how much she loved them.

Kinsey was an amazing spirit and the world is a little dimmer without her light. We can find comfort in and honor her memory by embodying the love and kindness that Kinsey bestowed on all that she met.
