This memorial was created in honor of Giuseppe Torcasio of Melbourne, Australia Giuseppe Torcasio was in the Italian heavy artillery battery with 2 x Obice da 149/19 model 37 heavy howitzer's, A world war II veteran who saw action in Tobruk and the battles for El Alamein North Africa.

Giuseppe Torcasio was born on October 21, 1919, in Italy and passed on October 18, 2012, in Melbourne Australia three days short of his 93rd birthday Giuseppe Torcasio was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
