The Story

Elizabeth Jane Canfield Howe went to see her Lord face to face May 3, 2016.
Born in Flint, Michigan, May 17, 1930 to Alma and Guy Canfield.
Elizabeth married the love of her life, Robert S. Howe on Sept 17, 1949 and they had three children.

She is survived by those children: Dan(Paula) Howe of Genesee, Judy (Don) Baxter of Davison, and Kevin (Mary) Howe of Clio, grandchildren: Lesley, Kathy, Angela, Adam, Cora, Heather, great grandchildren: Cameron, Abecca, Gabby, Zach, Rachel, Stephen, Jacob, Andrew, Annabelle, Lily, Isaiah, Jade’n, Jerith, sister Cheryl (Hiram) Dillehay, sister-in-law Doris Canfield and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Alma and Guy Canfield, loving aunt Claudia Temple, brothers and sisters, Allen Canfield, AlmaLee Riness, Paul Canfield, Larry Canfield, baby Claudia Canfield, and niece Beth Whittaker.

Elizabeth grew up in Millington, Michigan and attended Millington Nazarene Church.  She sacrificed her high school education to help her parents take care of her siblings and home due to her mother’s illness.
When she met Robert on a blind date, they fell in love that first night and spent 66 years together. She said she “would marry him all over again in a heartbeat. He is a keeper.” Taking care of her family was a priority for her.  She loved the Lord with her whole heart.  To know her was to know Jesus.
