A celebration of life will be held in Forest Grove, OR on 3/19/2016. In Omaha, NE and in Sioux Falls, SD in July 2016. Exact date TBA.
The Story
Marie Kavalec was born in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, Marie worked at the weather bureau in Omaha until her marriage to Clifford Halvorson. Marie and Clifford enjoyed a special union while living in multiple states as Clifford served in the United States Air Force. Marie and Clifford had five children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. After her husband's death, Marie pursued her life dream of earning a college education. She first successfully completed a two year nursing degree and then went on to earn another associates of arts degree n psychology.
