The Story

Charlie Bludworth, 70 years old, passed on Saturday, May 9, 2015 peacefully at home, while watching TV, sitting in his favorite chair. Charlie was born on March 24, 1945 in Dallas, lived the majority of his life in Austin and died in Brownwood.

Charlie was an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, Charles Thomas Bludworth and his brother, Michael.

Charlie loved all of his grandkids, including his granddaughter, Corinne Formaggio, also known by Charlie as “Peapot.” They enjoyed cartoons every night and planting flowers. He also loved bringing a smile and rocking granddaughter, Scout Sheffield, who he affectionately called “lunchbox.” Charlie was so proud of his grandsons, Trey Fawcett, who attends Baylor University, and Josh Williams who attends San Angelo State University.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Corinne Bludworth, the love of his life, whom he was married to for 35 years and raised five children. Charlie leaves behind his step-daughters, Bobbie Fawcett and her husband Don and son Trey and Renee Bludworth and her children Charles, Josh and Jordan Williams, his son Charles Thomas Bludworth; his wife Naomi Bludworth and daughter Kendall Bludworth, his daughters Kellie Bludworth-Lipe with her husband Josh and children Jacob, Taylor, Phillip and Maycie and Amanda Bludworth Formaggio-Sheffield and husband David and daughters Corinne Formaggio and Scout Sheffield as well as his sons whom he recently reunited, Glenn Reinke and Brian Reinke. He is also survived by his brother Michael Bludworth, wife Sheri Bludworth and nieces and nephews, Josh Bludworth, Lacey Pierce, Trace Bludworth, and Luke Bludworth; his sister Marie Bludworth and his parents Charles and Vera Inez Bludworth.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in memory of Charlie Bludworth to the NAACP at https://donate.naacp.org/page/contribute/inactdonredir
