The Story
It is with great sadness that the family of Gregory Eugene OStrander announce his untimely and unfortunate passing. He was an amazing, loving, kindhearted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Annamarie Pat OStrander, children Jacob Henry OStrander and Nathan Eugene OStrander, parents Eugene OStrander and Kathy and Jack Lines, brother Eric OStrander, and niece Ashli OStrander. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Margaret OStrander, William Jordan, and Ruth Frazier, and his mother and father-in-law Henry and Jacqueline Corrado.
Greg lived a vibrant life surrounded by love, family and friends. He was born at California Lutheran Hospital in Los Angeles on January 6, 1969. Greg was an exuberant individual from the day he was born. At an early age he was rambunctious and lively with mischievous tendencies and a natural air to please everyone around him. With his charming personality, he quickly made lots of friends over the course of growing up in Chatsworth, CA. During his high school years is when he started to really stretch his wings and experience life. Greg graduated from Beverley Hills High School in 1987 and continued his education at the Army/Navy Prep School in Carlsbad, CA for a year. He moved to Ventura,CA where he attended Sawyer College for a degree in Auto-Cad Design. Then he met Anna...
Anna first saw Greg when he was playing a game of pool. He had long, luscious brown hair that fell to his shoulders. He had an easygoing personality about him that made you want to get to know him. For them, it was love at first sight, she found him and he never wanted to look any further for another. Love grew instantly and blossomed with maturity as they grew together. They married at a quaint chapel surrounded by family and loved ones in Ventura, CA. As their love grew, so did their family. When Jacob was born, it was the proudest day of Gregs life. He was ecstatic and overjoyed with his new blessing in life. With that blessing came even more love and Greg became the best version of himself. Being a father was his true calling and quickly came his Nathan, filling the house with even more love. Two boys and his loving wife was the highlight of his life; everything he did was for his family. He was a Registered Communications Distribution Designer for seventeen years and was very good at what he did. He finally was where he wanted to be in life, and with Anna by his side, they bought their first home. He was thrilled about his new home and loved having family and friends over for BBQs and good company.
Greg was an extraordinary person who loved so many, and today we see how many people loved Greg and his family. He left this Earth much too early but we all know he made a mark before he left. He will forever be missed and thought of often.
