The Story

ELVIS VIELLE-JOHNSON, JR. was born on January 13, 1973 in Portland, Oregon
to Louella Vielle-Johnson and Elvis Johnson SR. Elvis JR attended King Elementary School and was a 1991 graduate of Grant High School.

Elvis was a loving and caring person who always put family first and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, and had no shame in popping up on you and saying "Hey whatcha you doin." He loved listening to his favorite artist Keith Sweat and shooting pool you couldn't tell him that he couldn't beat you but if you did, he would play you until he won. He was also known as "L Dog" a name that he loved and stood by that was given to him by his nephews.

Eagerly awaiting Elvis's arrival at the gates of heaven are his father Elvis Johnson SR., his mother Louella Vielle-Johnson, his sister Patsy Richmond and a host of uncles, aunties and cousins.

The Lord called Elvis home on January 14, 2015, in Portland, Oregon. He leaves to mourn in his passing, his Step-Mother Ella Siever, his sisters, Mae Hatcher, Shirley Hatcher and Crystal Hatcher-Hanson. He also leaves an aunt and uncle Billy and Nora Johnson, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who loved him so.

A light shining bright in a world unconditioned to kindness and warmth, Elvis will continue to live inside the hearts and spirits of anyone who was blessed with the pleasure and privilege of knowing him. His God given ability to always seek the love, humanity and humor in life will now and forever be the reason he is treasured and loved so deeply and genuinely. Surely one of God's most cherished and applauded children, we thank him for blessing us all with such a pure reflection of his love and grace. To Elvis, you will forever be adored, cherished, celebrated and loved.
