Obituary
Ms. Beverly Anne Burley, age 49 years, one month and four days, passed away peacefully with family by her side in Houston, Texas on Saturday, January 10, 2015.
Born on December 6, 1965, in Houston, Texas, to John Donald and Delores Mae Glass Burley, Beverly lived most of her life in Houston and its surrounding areas. She graduated from Clear Lake High School and went on to acquire a teaching degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. She returned to the Houston area and taught elementary students for many years before leaving the teaching profession. Beverly's final employment was as an office manager for Carmen Kamas Dentistry where she worked for several years.
Beverly believed in living life to its fullest. She never met a stranger and had an uncanny ability to deeply impact those around her. Beverly loved music, animals and, of course, cheering on the Texans. Most of all, she cherished her time with friends and family. The goodness of Beverly’s life will live on in our hearts, and her bubbly spirit will be dearly missed by us all.
Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, Delores Glass Burley, her sister, LeeAnne Shearin and her nephew, Jason.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Rhodes and husband Alan; her sister Jan Cowan and husband Rick; her sister Maureen Hicks and husband Donald; her sister Christine Fowler; her brother John Burley; her nieces, Mauriah, Sarah, Darcy, Kelsey, Charrise and Cassie; her nephews, Donald and Ryan; and many other relatives and numerous friends.
As family and friends, whose lives Beverly touched, we gather today and rely on God’s strength while we reminisce, grieve, support each other and celebrate Beverly’s life. Let us remember her with grace and love.
It's been over 10yrs since I saw you last, I wish I would have seen you one more time, you were always kind to me and truly loved me as a friend, I'm sorry we lost touch and I'm ashamed of myself for just finding out you passed! Life is not fair, we all have debts to pay for the privilege of living on this earth, you Beverly paid those debts, depts for others that did not deserve your kindness! I hope you are in a better place God bless you girl You will be missed, Love you Jody
